Delicious homemade pizza with creamy buffalo mozzarella DOP from Campania, fresh cherry tomatoes, and premium olive oil. An absolute culinary delight from food blogger Marcel Felix of BBQlicate.de.
INGREDIENTS
FOR 2-4 PERSONS:
- 500g Büffelmozzarella
- 500g flour type 00 (pizza flour)
- 3g yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 250ml lukewarm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp grobes Meersalz
- 1 can of tomatoes (diced)
- 1 pack of cherry tomatoes
- 1 tsp Pizza Time or herbs of your choice
- some mixed salad
PREPARATION
- Place the pizza flour in a mixing bowl, make a well in the center, and add a little water, yeast, and sugar. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes. Then add the salt and mix the mixture with a mixer, gradually adding the remaining water until a smooth dough forms. Finally (!), add the oil and mix again with the mixer.
- Now preheat a pizza stone in the oven, on the grill, or in a pellet smoker for 30 minutes at 240-260 degrees Celsius. If you don't have a pizza stone, you can of course also bake the pizza the traditional way in a preheated oven.
- Now add the diced tomatoes to a pot with the Pizza Time seasoning or herbs of your choice and simmer. The tomato sauce should thicken slightly and not contain too much liquid, so the pizza doesn't end up soggy.
- Cut the buffalo mozzarella and the cherry tomatoes into slices, roll out the pizza dough thinly, brush with the tomato sauce and finally top with the mozzarella and the tomatoes.
- Now place the pizza on the preheated pizza stone or in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes. Then let it cool briefly, top with some salad, and cut into slices as desired.
Enjoy your food!
