A classic reimagined: Caprese made with gourmet buffalo mozzarella and thin slices of sweet and juicy orange. Once you try this, you'll never eat mozzarella with tomatoes again!
INGREDIENTS
FOR 2-4 PERSONS:
- 500g Buffalo Bill Buffalo mozzarella
- 2-3 organic oranges
- Fresh basil
- Pepper Symphony
PREPARATION
- Remove the buffalo mozzarella from the bag and cut into thin slices. Peel the orange and also cut into thin slices.
- Now layer the orange and mozzarella slices alternately on a plate or wooden board and place the worn orange stem from the cutting board on top.
- In a ratio of 2:1, you mix olive oil with balsamic vinegar, add a little salt and pepper, a small spoonful of mild mustard and the juice of an orange and mix the ingredients to make a homogeneous dressing.
- Spoon the dressing over the orange and mozzarella slices and season with sea salt and pepper. It's best to let the dish sit for a few minutes to allow the dressing's flavors to fully develop.
- As a side dish, you can either have a piece of good bread or a delicious buffalo rib eye fresh from the grill.
Enjoy your food!
