Buffalo burger with scamorza, spinach, ajvar & onions

Büffel Burger mit Scamorza, Spinat, Ajvar & Zwiebeln
Buffalo burgers with a twist: By combining the various ingredients, you create a unique burger experience. You can't miss it!
Ingredients for 4 people:
  • 4x Prime Rib Burger
  • 4x Burger Buns
  • 100g baby leaf spinach
  • Small glass Ajvar
  • 1x Smoked Bufala Shumnicate
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • Mustard
  • 1 red onion
  • 5 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • Butter
  • Spices: salt, pepper, brown sugar

Preparation:

  1. Peel the onions, halve them, and slice them into thin strips. Then, briefly heat the vinegar with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 4 tablespoons of water and add to the onions. Marinate the onions for at least 3 hours. 
  2. Wash the spinach and mix it with half of the ajvar. Then season with salt and pepper. 
  3. Season the burger patties with salt and cook in a hot pan over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side until medium-rare. Just before the end of the cooking time, sprinkle the sliced scamorza cheese over the top.
  4. Meanwhile, butter the buns and toast them. Spread the bottom of the bun with the remaining ajvar and a little mayonnaise, top with the spinach leaves, and finish with the burger patties and pickled onions.
