The double buffalo burger with mango chili salsa is an absolute highlight! 180 grams of juicy buffalo meat with premium buffalo mozzarella in a freshly baked brioche bun. A delicious creation by Marcel Felix (BBQlicate).
INGREDIENTS
for 2 people:
- 2 Prime Rib Burger Patties (Rib Eye Burger)
- 2 slices buffalo mozzarella
- 1 Mango
- 1 roasted chili
- 1 TL Honig
- Green salad
- Half bunch of coriander
- Juice of half a lime
- Salt, pepper, sugar
PREPARATION
- Cut the mango into slices and grill briefly on both sides, then cut into small cubes.
- Finely chop the chili and coriander and mix together with the mango cubes, honey and lime juice. Season with salt, pepper and sugar and set aside.
- Grill the prime rib burgers on both sides for 60 seconds each under the Otto Wilde OFB until a nice crust has formed. Then set the OFB to the lowest setting and place the patties in the grease tray. Allow to simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on doneness and taste. If you don't have an OFB, you can of course also cook the Prime Rib Burgers on the grill or in the pan for approx. Grill for 2-3 minutes and then place in the oven at 100 degrees.
- If you like, you can briefly toast the buns on both sides and then start topping the burger. The salad is placed on the bottom part of the bun, then the mango-chili salsa is added, followed by the juicy buffalo patty. The mozzarella is now placed on the meat and a dollop of salsa together with the top part of the bun completes the burger.
- Marcel Felix recommends sweet potato fries as a suitable side dish. You can find the recipe for the brioche buns here.
