That certain something for every dish
Whether as a topping on a crispy pizza, as the centerpiece of a rustic sandwich or as a spicy addition to an antipasti platter – salami is versatile and enriches every dish with its distinctive character. It is also a permanent fixture in our online shop: Our fiery schiacciata, the spicy Salsiccia Dolce or our aromatic Landjäger can be enjoyed at any meal. The classics with a twist
Who doesn’t know it? The classic “Pizza Salame”, where the spicy flavours of the individual slices are ideally combined with the tender, melting cheese on crispy, soft dough. But it can also be more versatile – for example with delicious pasta dishes. Here, the buffalo salami can spice up the traditional carbonara: The spicy note is the ideal addition to the creamy sauce. The tender slices of our Schiacciata, which add a little spiciness and give the dish a completely new taste. But the Landjäger can also score points with their intense aroma: Simply cut them into small pieces and cook them together with onions, MFry the onions and celery and then deglaze with wine, tomato paste, vegetable stock and strained tomatoes. Then just season - and the salami bolognese is ready.
Hearty in taste
Our buffalo salami doesn’t need much to taste good: Our Landjäger can be enjoyed whole and tastes particularly good in combination with a piece of mild Gouda, pickled cucumbers or crispy baguette. Our Salsiccia Dolce is best done with Mozzarella, Pecorino or Parmesan and tastes particularly good in stews or can also be enjoyed fresh from the grill as a main course. Meanwhile, the classic snack is served with the Buffalo Schiacciata a little fire: Simply cut the crispy ciabatta bread and spread it generously with Sriracha mayonnaise. Then spread the wafer-thin slices on the bottom half of the bread and garnish with fruity tomato slices, creamy buffalo mozzarella and fresh rocket. Now only one is missing pinch of salt, pepper and a dash of olive oil – and you can enjoy the spicy sandwich to the fullest.
Also a pleasure on its own
But even without everything, both buffalo variations can score points across the board: antipasti, tapas or finger food, salami is the star of every plate.
